  • late model xj dash

Alright so dads XJ 98, has an issue with the dash...the airbag light pops on and all gauges die. Has no effect on driving or anything in the jeep other than all the needles hit zero. Taken it apart and put dielectric grease on the plug but no difference. Anyone ever have that problem and or know how to fix it?

    Does the horn work?
What about the cruise control (if equipped?)

    Might be a clockspring.

happens like once a year to me.
i take it out and douche the 2 connectors with electrical contact cleaner. then add a little dielectric grease and its good for another 12 months

Ur doing it to the Plugs directly on the back of the gauges? Like what you push the guages into? There is no possible way to solder what I'm talking about
