Please ID this trans?

Can anyone ID this trans.

Im working on this jeep, on vacation in norh carolina, it wont shift, i found the problem, but i dont know what trans this is, tag says 85, but engine it outa an 88 says the owner. The shift forks are ontop with the shifter and it jumps outa sequence, so i need to order some new forks

Funny enough it happened right after he got his new procomp tires

first that is a CJ5 so both an 85 and 88 don't make sense especially the 88.
I believe they stopped making the CJ5 in 83 and stop CJs in 86

Is it a 3spd or 4 or 5
Does it have a granny gear.
What T-case Dana20 or Dana300

What engine 4-6-8cyl

Im not with the jeep right now, but the tcase is beefy, and it slopes down on the passenger side, the skid plate if formed to it.
