My father amd i are looking into building a project yj. My father has a set a of suburban axles. 14 bolt rear 10 bolt front. Obviously the rear is capable of running a 37 no biggies. But what about that 10 bolt or just scrap it and get a 14 bolt front?

10-bolt front is stronger than a D30, but not stronger than a 44 or a 60.
IMHO find a 60 for the front.

44 8 lug would be the easiest to find and much cheaper than a 60, a 10 is junk like a dana35.
