We heard this would work, what are your opinions? NP 231 doubled with a Dana 300. George wants to know.

I would say the np231-d300 is a good setup to go with, and probably your best bet.
          cheap and strong.

I actually have looked into this quite a bit if you need any info. ill post more of what i know in here tomorrow, but right now im to lazy to type.

i will say that you should expect to spend at least $250 on the intermediate shaft to connect the two.

whole kits go for like $500 i think.

PM me if i dont get back to this thread.

I did the NP231 Dana300 combo. Worked out nice.
I would suggest putting another mount on the 300 the 231 case isn't that strong.

The doubler kit is like $500 if you going to put it in a YJ or XJ you will need to get a flip kit for the Dana 300.

FYI: You need to internally modify the Dana 300 shifter shaft to get a true twin stick.

You get a lot lower crawl ratio and it's cheaper than diff gears.

Let me know if you need the aluminum end plate welded on, or help with anything else. I just noticed your in PA it might be a hike.

To fab up a mount on the Dana 300 isn't bad.
I took out the 4 bolts on the back of the Dana 300 replaced them with studs so I can bolt a plate on then used a shackle bushing to mount to the cross member.

You already have the 231 you just need a 300

I looked at as a cheap way to get lower crawl ratio and twin stick.

Cheaper then just a Tera low 4:1 kit.

i bought it a year ago he used to post them on ebay all the time i just called him up and he said he had a bunch on the shelf.
He still has other things on ebay so I'm guessing he is still around.
