So everything was fine in the jeep when i left on friday for the weekend. Come home sunday and had to drive the jeep cause i blew out a tire on the DD. Drive to work and nothing seems odd, on the way home, doing about 45 mph, i let off the gas and the jeep seemed to stay at a high rpm, like it wasn't going into overdrive, Then as i slowing down, i could hear and feel it downshift, and rev up a bit. Like it would do if you manually put it into 1st.
The fluid was overfull but not sure why all of a sudden it's doing this.
Did a fluid change today, and on the test drive it was popping back, and bogging down when hard on the gas, get home throw some more fluid in, (still looks like it's full) and then the second drive i jump on it and it doesn't shift till like 3200 rpm, and then slips into gear.
Any ideas? It's a 89 xj laredo with the AW4
