  • LED question

So I just installed my new LED tail lights and front turn signals.
The tail lights work perfect. I just realized tonight about 20 minutes ago when I parked the jeep and put the blinkers on to see them for the first time at night that the front LED signals only work when the headlights and running lights are OFF.
Once I put the running lights on or the head lights they stop working, but the rear tail lights still work.

Here are the LEDs that I am using.

As stated in the description from Poison spyder, this LED is a 2 wire assembly.
On my normal harness for the turn signals, its a 3 wire setup.
We just ran the ground wire and the wire for the turn signals and left out the running light.

    What would cause this problem?
    How can I fix it?
Is there something that I am missing?
    Hench

    ATM anyone?

it may have to do with you not having an electronic turn signal flasher...they sell LED compatible ones at autozone for like 9 bucks...

/\ yup back in the ol' days when i worked at advance auto i remember people coming in for them. the led's dont always offer the same resistance sometimes and you need a more sensitive flasher, the good thing about the electronic flashers are there bullet proof, and sometimes you can even set the speed

I have the said flasher unit. They work fine until I turn on the running lights or headlights

Get in there with a meter and see what happens when you turn the headlights on.

Thanks for raising such question. I have certain doubts about LED lights too.
