  • Which shock?

Looking for new shocks. Rear for now, and front later.
I dont need anything crazy, but I dont want junk. I drive my jeep to work most days, and wheel it, 99% crawling. I dont need high speed dampening, Im not going fast anywhere.
Im looking at FOA emulsions, bilstein 5150, and 6100 shocks.
These all fall within how much Im wiling to spend. Im really leaning toward 5150's based on cost, but another 20$ a shock wont kill me.
What do you guys think? Is it even worth spending that much on shocks?
Other brands that would fit the bill?
    Dan.

my foa 2.0's are awesome for what you describe. may be a little overkill, but the heavier valving options made just general trail riding much more comfortable over my previous 5150's.

i have managed to blow out 4 of them so far, but they keep sending me new ones. not sure if im a rare case, they had a bad run, or what. 3 of 4 of the blowouts were from some pretty hard landings from at least several feet off the ground.

customer service is as good as it gets however and i really cant complain as they have been taking care of me.

Thanks for that info. Customer service is always a big role. I was looking at them through LII.
