  • rear drive shaft.

    the rear drive shaft in one of the jeeps went bad. its a yj with a slip yoke eliminator kit. the needle bearings inside the cardigan joint went bad. does anyone know where i can get a new driveshaft without breaking the bank?
    95 yj spring over axle 4inches lift locked and winch
    99 dakota sport used for dragging car trailer
    72 cuda with 383
    98 xj that is prolly gonna end up in the tuff truck comp.

    I just ordered one from tatton's shafts on EBAY.
    235 shipped to the door, whatever length you need. all spicer u joints and extra beef slip joint.... cant beat that price. i usually go to the local driveshaft shop (overland driveshaft) but they simply cant beat their price for the same product

        im gonna have to try that. my buddy owns a parts store, we went to C.T. driveshaft. they wanted 380 for it. does tatton have an official website or is it all ebay stuff?

            I had mine to me in like 4 days. I ordered friday and had it on weds or thursday.

              You can rebuild them

              If you get one from Tom Woods they usually flex further and have a longer slip.

              If an OEM XJ front shaft will work I have one $50

                Tattons is a spicer heavy duty 7" slip. Doesnt really get any better. Im pretty sure thats what woods uses anyway

                  i looked into the tattons. looks to be exactly what i need at a price i can certainly live with. thank you for the advise.
