1) When you buy a used gauge cluster for a 97 to 01, does it keep the original mileage of the car that it came from in the cluster? Or does it get it stored from memory somewhere in the car?
2) For say a 97 to 01 xj (mines a 00), when you engage 4wd, are there supposed to be lights that come on in the gauge cluster when its engages for part time and full time? I have the np231 tc. All of the newer jeeps that Ive seen wont engage a light when 4wd is on. Is that normal? Because I can see that there is 2 spots for a 4wd full time light and 4wd part time light on the upper right side of the gauge cluster. So I am a little confused, when i turn the key onto the on position, i do not get any lights for it.
