  • 35s on stock steering

just picked up my set of 35s, bottom line im pumped but can the stock tj steering handle them on the road for a bit? i would think itd be alright since id been wheeling hard on 33s and driving them on the road and it was fine. just dont want it to be unsafe on the road so i may have to leave the 31s on until the spring when i put my new axle in with upgraded steering.

i had 35s and stock steering..... the steering turned into a horseshoe the first time i went wheeling with it.

i would atleast sleeve the stock one with something for now. i have mine sleeved with 1.5x .25 wall dom because mine bent up nicely when i tried wheeling with 32s.

          stock steering is a joke

ok thanks guys, i will only be on it until the spring and for the most part the jeep will be sitting in the garage and driving on the raod. i have one ton on my new axle which will be installed in the spring before any major wheeling it gets so i should be alright.

if you have other tires and won't be wheeling it much all winter why not save the 35's till the new axles are in

He had to sell all the old ones to buy the 35's!
