  • uni body strengthening

    So im kinda starting over again with my 2001 xj project. I'd like to beef up the uni body a bit. Whats the easiest and cheapest way to do this at home? also i have with access to a welder

              I've always thought about just making frame rails and placing the body on top.

              That would solve every unibody strength issue I bet it wouldn't be too bad to do and you would have a real spot to mount a bumper and roll cage.

              And just about everything fab related for the jeeps can be done with a sawsall and a mig.
              The other tools just make things easier.

                  Unibodies suck ass.... PLate the fuck outta everything and keep all your plated sections tied together with fish plates and a cage thats properly tied in helps alot too

                      I think I saw this done a few years ago on jeep forum.. Guy did it as a senior project for school or something.
