in response to to the D300 justin, the more you talk about it the more it seems it could work out in the future. my plans are gonna go 4.88s in the spring/summer of next year then take it from there. i can hold off on SYE my 231 for now since my driveshaft works pretty good with a 1.25" drop on the case.

i like the simplicity of gettin a 241 and its got what i need but who knows i have to see where this takes me. i also dont do that much slow crawling. i think if i go just a bit lower on the RP i should be good for a while until i see what happens after that. i will defintely let ya guys know if i try to go for the D300 or 241 down the road.

also, does anyone know how 4bnger on 35s and 4.88s will do, specificaly erik since i know you do 4.88s w/ 33s. you said that is stock so im thinking if u throw 35s it will be like driving on 31s w 4.10s.....

if anyone has any idea there thatd help also.

D300 will only give you dig capabilities. Actually 2.66 not 2.73 so higher gears.
241 will give you a lower range and you will still have shift on the fly if you like driving in the snow on the roads you will want this.

lets see if we can blow the u-joint on both sides and a ring gear at the same time.
No worries, I'm not actually back, I'm just reminiscing about the old days.

I'll let you know in a few months when I'm on 35s

I honestly didn't mind the 4.10s and 33s except for highway driving. 4.88s just make it that much easier and awesome. Highway is a breeze now. I'm not saying you're never gonna drop to 4th gear on those big ass hills to Rausch but I do 65-70mph easily. 65 is around 2900rpm and 70 is about 31ish.
Gear it and be done with it for now.

hench, how is your crawl ratio in low with the 4.88s and 33's? i want to do 35s so mine should be a bit higher than yours but i guess i will see. i shoulve driven your rig around at rausch when i had the chance to see for myself.

how do you think those 35s will get turned on the highway? similar to 4:10 on 31s? just trying to get an idea here.
