I would also like to hear the opinions on this. You have to either remove or weld in a new axle side sway bar mounts. I know many run no sway bars, but I would rather just keep it and make it work some how, after all I spent money on the links. Otherwise the install should be drill and ream just like UTK steering.

edit: how much of this do you actually have to do? copied from jcr's site
In order to install this kit OTK on coil sprung front Jeeps you MUST:
Remove sway bar end link mounts (axle side.)
    Cut/Remove Factory Steering Stabilizer mount.
Trim the front of the Coil Buckets.
Drill and Ream the Knuckles from the top.
    Adjust the steering stops.
    We also RECOMMEND:

That you replace/relocate your sway bar endlinks mounts (axle side.)
That you brace the inside front of your coil buckets.
Depending on what frameside trackbar bracket your running, you may want to relocate the axle side trackbar bracket above the axle. It's just a matter of matching the angle of the trackbar and draglink.

Who sells a bracket to relocate the track bar above the axle to line up with the drag link? I have an adjustable track bar but its still bent like stock and everything, can this type of bar be relocated without a problem? or would it be better to get the drop bracket they sell for the frame side of the track bar?

          JKS sells one (http://www.JKSmfg.com)

they also sell a trackbar kit to make a trackbar that works(https://store.jksmfg.com/merchant2/m..._Code=FABParts)... honestly a trackbar for OTK/OTA is super simple, its just a straight bar, as opposed to the bent up ones

i have had a new straight trackbar from clayton with a JKS over the axle bracket setup for some time now, havent looked back

I like JCR's steering the best. I just don't like the rock krawler set up.

working on coming out with a builder trackbar that works with this bracket. Yes, william, you inspired a product line for XJ's with OTK steering and use of that bracket. I think we might make our own bracket though with 3 different mounting heights all 9/16's.

All a work in progress, Caleb came in the other day and had us make him one, so we will see what comes of it. It will be a full kit though. i wish i had the pics from either yours or calebs setup to post though.

and matt, same thing as the banditt steering i used to run, except you just reem the knuckles from the top and likewise the tie rod is gon' be higher

not a terribly difficult job, and a niceee upgrade, my steering never gave me any real issues, and i smashed that thing A LOT. lol.
No worries, I'm not actually back, I'm just reminiscing about the old days.

ohhh and matt, that builder tracbar isn't terribly expensive either, you already have the bracket so you could literally sell your pretty much brand new standard one and have enough to buy the new one. its unfinished and you cut it down and weld the insert, so don't quote me on this but i think its either like 140-150ish.

just because something is solid, doesn't mean its stronger. A very common misconception.

Rockkrawler also uses a much smaller joint on the frame end.

LOL. that's enough posts in a row.
