  • will this engine swap work?

someone wants to buy the engine I had in my 96, it was an early 90's block with an HO head on it, he wants to put it in a '00, anyone have concrete proof one way or the other, keep getting different answers

    thanks

the long block part of the engine should pretty much be the same. ive ran into difference's in where the temp sensor goes, not sure about any other block differences. the other stuff he should just be able to transfer from his current motor, exhaust manifold, intake, belt routing etc

shouldn't be any real issues, thats actually a better block, the early 90's 4.0 blocks had a higher nickel content and are actually stronger, hence why they make the best platform for a stroker. That with a high output head and the 97+ intake manifold and that would be a nice running 4.0
No worries, I'm not actually back, I'm just reminiscing about the old days.
