guting the stock proportioning valve

With 4 wheel disc brakes I need to gut the valve. Not sure if anybody here has done this. If they have do I just remove the small oring or is there more involved.

small o ring is all i did on mine, super easy

or replace it with a 4 wheel disc vehicle's valve like a zj's. that's what i ended up doing and it works flawlessly.

So the rod and spring go back in correct.
