  • Just FYI... for you D44 guys.

If you are in the market for a diff cover and are not into totally bashing the fuck out of your rear diff cover then go to a junkyard and check out the Isuzu Rodeo/Honda passport rear D44's...

Some of them have Finned aluminum covers for the bling and cool factor.

I just picked one up for 10 dollhairs.

It's not, unless you pavement pound with your lifted jeep and want something to look cool.

It is Def an upgrade from stock Phil... In all ways.

        1. Better cooling
        2. lighter
        3. Compared to the thin gauge stock steel one this one i would say is at least 1/4 thick or more.

Time will tell if it will hold up for me... but for $10 smack-a-roo's I figure it will suffice for now. I think that as long as a don't go Ultra4 fast up Crawl Daddy or go across affliction I will be dandy.

How much lighter is 1/4" finned aluminum than stamped steel?
How often do you hear of jeep dana 44s overheating?
When you back into a rock and crack it on crawldaddy going ultra4 slow whatcha gonna do?

Thanks for shitting on my parade you negative nancies.

And another FYI for you Ruffstuff nutswingers... I saw some of these aluminum covers on some buggies @ KOH. And they survived. so therefore your 75billion pound covers hold up just as well as the 40 ouncers. lol

Unless its T6 6061 aluminum the weight saving = weakness
