  • Transmission line pinhole

I have a pinhole in my transmission line right near my downpipe, and it started spraying ATF all over my downpipe and was leaving a comet-like trail of smoke on my way home tonight. My question is: Do I need to replace the whole line, or can I cut out the section and replace it with the rubber hose they give you with cooler kits and the like?

you can replace that section of hardline with rubber line I would just double clamp it and check for leaks.

Yeah, get some oil cooler tubing and clamp it up.

new complete lines are around 30 bucks.

if you do just cut a section out and stick a hose on it, i reccomend giving the ends a little bubble flare or double clamp it.

I did this Friday night/Saturday morning with a section of cooler hose I had, and did in fact flare it a bit. Works beautifully.
