steering box problems

So while loading my jeep on the trailer with no power steering I stripped something in either the box or the steering shaft collar that attached to the splined end of the box. Is there any chance I can buy just the steering shaft? The Ujoint things in it are all f'ed anyhow. If so how much of a bitch is it to change it?

Or is it more likely that I stripped the splines off of the box end? I don't know for sure which is is yet but I'm trying to plan for what I need to buy tomorrow for this piece of shit.

An probably source the shaft from a junyard for cheap. I doubt the steering box splines stripped and its probably the shaft splines.
