    Im pretty sure I have a D35 but not sure.. what is it

            29 spline 8.25 would be the cheapest /easiest way to get a reliable axle that will withstand 33's

                pretty sure that is an 8.25 with the push in plug like that I think dana's use threaded plugs.

                You can try some google searching.

                  definitely a dana 35..look at the shaping of the diff cover face versus the 8.25

                  plus it doesnt have a flat lip below the cover on the actual housing center section like an 8.25 does

                  plus it doesnt have a big lip/ridge around the side of the mounting ring

                  wanna be quadruple sure? check that tag on the top bolt, or measure your axle tubes. d35 is gonna have 2.75" tubes verus the 8.25's 3"

                    Will's right. The 8.25 doesn't have as large of an "indent", if you will, in which the drain/fill plug is set and has a flat bottom.

                      i had a d35 with a push in plastic plug.
                      Its a d35
                      pull it from your jeep and scrap it... or sell the shafts to someone that blew up their 35

                          Never noticed the push in plugs on a D35, I don't see to many D35s to begin with.
