    i have the stock skid from my 98. is there a certain year you have to use or will that one work to a tuck job.

    I'm pretty sure it would work.. especially if you're going to weld it into place. In other words, the lips of the skid rest between the unibody rails and you can weld it there I believe. Check out joenitros build thread, he's got a bunch of pics from his tuck.

      im really contemplating doing this but im really worried about the fumes and stuff i just dont know how great it would be for a dd.

        If your hacking all that rest up it shouldn't be too difficult to throw some sheet metel over it and relocate the filler to continue venting out side. But then again its a lot of work to not drag you your tank a few times a year
