Sooo, if I were to want to make a waggy 44 and a '78 ford 60 play nice, how would I do so?

Problems would be matching widths (not sure of either) and lug patterns.

Width- narrower the better, not sure how much wider a Waggy 44 is than a 30, but hopefully it's within reason. the 60 would get discs before going in, not sure if that helps get closer to the 44, but perhaps that's the time to go to 6 lug in the rear? Or would I have to mod the 44 to 8 lug for this to work?

Just looking to get some ideas, or links to builds or what not, find out what works what doesn't.

Is the 60 35spline?
Is the 60 8 lug, is there meat to just redrill it?
I'm guessing the 44 is 6 lug?
Is the 60 a full floater or semi?
Do you have the axles can't you just measure them.
Normally you want the rear axle narrower or equal to the front width.

You can always buy outer bearing flanges and 35spline 5 lug axles not to expensive, look at TJ D44 35 spline axles they are drilled 5 on 5.5 and I just so happen to have a D44 5 on 5.5 setup for sale.
