4cyl YJ motor in TJ?

Do you guys know if an 89 YJ 4 cylinder motor will work in a 4 cylinder TJ (99 or 01, I think)? Or are they different and won't work?

88 YJ...kinda. Clayton Hard Arms, V8, 1 tons w/Detroits, twin sticked T-18/NP205, Irok's, MasterCrafts, fuel cell, multi-colored

I honestly dont know but I'm willing to bet you you use the TJ's intake/exhaust maifold with the all the TJ sensors it may

i think yj's were 2.5 and tj's are 2.4 think not sure about motor mounts but i cant see them being too different, bet you the blocks are the same

I would think the mounting would work, just gotta make sure the electrical shit works. maybe use the tj wiring and shit with a YJ engine.
