Radio Problems

So I got a dual radio for Christmas and installed it in the xj, it works great but sometimes when I start the jeep, the radio will have power but it will not turn on. I can tell because it glows red when it's off and blue when it's on. I need to unplug the harness in the back of the radio and plug it back in to get it to work like it should.

Any ideas on what would cause this?

make sure all your speaker connections are good, I had a bad butsplice on one of my speaker wires and mine did the samething.

double check all wiring. double check that the speak positive and negatives are wired correctly to your speakers. i could be the deck but probably a wiring issue. I got a dual deck in my c10 and a speaker wire would cause it to shut off/stop playing sound until i undid the culprit wire.
