  • Steering box question

    I know the durango box is a direct swap for you XJ guys, what about me? Same front end. Just curious. Looking into getting one

    i don't see why it wouldn't work. you do have to get longer bolts and space it out about 1/4" from the frame though. just put mine in the xj a couple weeks ago

      according to this you don't have to space it out. try it out man, it's worth it. i can turn the wheel with one finger on flat ground with 33's (and 35's on the old one)

        I think the YJ/TJ use 4 bolts XJ use 3, I think they all line up but you will be 1 bolt short.

        If you got the money go with a PSC heavy duty box not as cheap as a junkyard box but even a rebuilt box is $200.
        You will know you have a good product. The boxes have larger pistons and they port the valving and stuff.
        Your call.

                          How much more? I was talking to dillon about this last night. He said it would be best to get them just in case down the road I ever wanted to go to ram assist.
