  • Tyring to decide

I am trying to decide what i should do. My rockers are minty so i am a little skeptical on cutting them for sliders. Is it that bad of an ide to leave them an puut sliders under themm? also if i cut my rockers, is it a good idea to do mini boat sides.

If you get sliders for under them you can mod them to weld in later. But if you don't want to weld them in now cause there mint, then you arn't going to want to later on because they will still be mint due to the slider under them. But, welded in will give more clearance.

Most people here run them under the rocker. It works well

you will be fine with cutting them, just make sure you put a few braces from the steel, to the unibody or else it will bend the floor

My sliders were home made and I didn't cut the rockers. It is legal to cut them

Legality is definitely not an issue

they arent structural in the least

in reality all the rocker panel is is a hollow C shaped covering of sheet metal

If you weld it to the body you dont need that brace really

If your rockers are mint now then give it a few years they'll rust just as mine are starting to, and my shit is always clean.
so I would just go for the "box" rockers but figure out something to tie them into the unirails otherwise you'll have issues down the road.
