  • Bedliner vs. Temperature

Tomorrow I'm going to put in Dupli-color bed liner in my Jeep. Well, the can doesn't say anything about temperature but its going to be in the 30's tomorrow. Has anyone done this before in this temperature?

Yeah duplicolor stuff doesn't go on like bed liner. I used it on the outside of my jeep, here's a picture of the texture.

Jon it's what's on Junior's sides. It sucked to paint, I sprayed it in the winter last year. The front fenders held up nicely.

I didn't think it sucked to paint, I sanded my sides down really well, and put on two coats. Held up nicely, sticks left permanent scrape marks on it though. I did it in the winter as well. But it's not textured like rhino liner or herculiner.

I've read that's all in how you prepare it. Mine felt like a 60-grit sandpaper.

you didn't answer my question. Are you talking about the spray on stuff or some kind of roll on stuff? I don't know how else to prep for spraypaint other than shaking the can, and scuffing the surface before painting it. Mine wasn't anywhere close to 60 grit.

John make sure you stir the herc. often as you're applying it. Otherwise the grit will all settle to the bottom and it won't come out right.
