who has done these, i took mine apart today and found they are pitted from sitting so they need to be done. it does not seem like its difficult but just wanted to see if there are any tricks people have.

Put as much force as you can on it with a breaker bar and use a BFH on the C perpendicular to the thread and it will come right off.
Impact gun will not get that off.
