  • First locker- front or rear?

Looking into locking the front or rear and then when more money appears, locking the remaining. Is it more beneficial to lock the rear or the front first?

I'm still using the dana 35 in the rear, so would I be better off using a front locker because its a stronger axle setup? (I would say lock the rear first, but since I have the dana 35, its not the best option) Any opinions on this?

In your case i would lock the front. Putting any money into a dana 35 is a waste imo.

I thought you could swap th d35 aussie into the 30? If that were the case you could lock the rear, than when you upgraded rear ends throw the 35 locker up front

thats a great idea, and the aussie would be the way to go. BUT would my rear end "locked" make it to summertime?

I thought about suggesting that but I think it would be a waste of time doing anything with the 35. Why install a locker in the rear, blow it up and then put it in the front? I rather just lock the front.

Since yours is a 2000 it is a 29 spline 8.25. i would lock that first. however, you are running 35s now right? I would either get cro mo shafts for it or upgrade to a D44 or 8.8. unless you already have

97 TJ that I think is pretty neat.

I would upgrade the rear before locking the front or rear in your case....

Edit: Im a retard thought you had a d35

Id lock the rear first as i said earlier

                          That is correct.

Alright looks like Ill be replacing the shafts first before locking anything.

Not all do. If it has ABS Brakes, it has a D35
