  • Front shock Resi mounting

I have all the hardware needed to mount the new edlebrock remote reservoir shocks i bought for the front of my jeep.

My question is, i need a safe place to mount them. I can mount the shocks with the res hose behind the coil and the res will end up needing to be mounted right where the frame tie ins will be when i get my new AJs front bumper. I could do that but id have to weld the clips in place or sumtin as i dont want to drill in to the tie in and through the unibody and to the other side with a long ass bolt and self tappers seem undesirable.

If i go back the only option i seem to have is run the hose down the back of the wheel well and the res will end up along side the unibody rail just behind the LCA mount. This would not such a bad idea but i feel that they will take alot of abuse from road debris being kicked up and while off road could get hit by flying rocks. There really isnt any where else i can think to mount them that it will be out of the tires way and some what easy to mount.

I could drill a big ass hole and put them in the engine bay but they should prolly be away from the heat and that is not the most ideal setup either. I dont want to mount them to the shock body as it will cause kinks and such in the line.

    Any suggestions?

I'll take pics tomorrow but I threw them up in the fender sort of near the cowl area but lower.

          Thanks Adam.

The first picture is what i was thinking of doing. But i didnt think of mounting it up top and not to the side. I think i may do that. I dont want to spend any more for shock body mounts and thats just one more thing to get damaged or sumtin right there.
