Im making a rear bumper and I was wondering, should I bolt the mounts to the bumper or weld them on?

1999 XJ 4 inchs of lift or so, 35s and some other stuff. -
I would weld them, as it is you will have a ton of bolts holding the bumper to the body.

ok. Im using the stock mounts but im going to beef them up a lot. Also the hitch, im thinking of cutting up from the bottom and welding across the bottom and around it front and back, good idea or should I do it in the center of the hitch like every other bumper?-Caleb

if you are building a bumper don't build it gay and use stock tin foil mounts.
even if you are beefing them, you would be better off building new dookin mountsComment
