I love the new gun with the exception of the scope. I just don't think it works with the stainless. But you have enough badass guns to offset this one not being as badass.

I thought about doing a stainless scope, but they actually don't make a stainless scope like the one I have on there.

The Bulgarian SLR95 buttstock needed to be milled to fit the receiver and the Jard hammer needed to be milled as well to clear the rear magazine well inside of the receiver. The conversion kit was pretty straight forward, removed all the old Saiga trigger and hammer components and installed the new trigger guard, Jard trigger and Hammer and all the replacement pins and springs.


All the old receiver parts are shown here, hammer, disconnect, trigger, trigger guard, etc...



Still waiting on a forward vertical grip and some more magazines.

I don't have much knowledge of guns other than aim and squeeze but that one loogs pretty crazy..

Bumping this for now, I have to update it later.

The barrel for my Marlin 1893 came back from being rebored, fresh rifling and chamber in a 102 year old gun. The rest of the gun will be restored back to its original glory, I have to make up a to do list for it, everything is getting polished and some parts are getting re-case colored.

I also have a bunch of other things to do on a bunch of other lever actions during the fall, lots of little problems I never addressed that need to be fixed asapstatus.

yep definitely read that as "asparagus". In fact I think it emphasizes the urgency of it's need to be fixed better if you use asparagus.

Spent some time tonight on the Marlin 1893.

Some of the metal got prepped and the barrels will be blued later this week, the rest of the small parts are going to be case colored.





Started refinishing the wood, too, just removed the old finish and pulled the old oil out of the stock.
