    More pictures of parts.

I am putting together a transfer case for the time being, to move my jeep around the driveway and ultimately into the garage. Ill sell it when I am done or use it in something else... Its an EB Dana 20 J Shift case (thicker casting) with the lower 2.46:1 gears and shift rails from the T Shift case.

Its all together now, going to try to put it back in the jeep tomorrow so I can move it, maybe even go for a ride.

Here is my "new" transmission that I am going to run with the Stak. It is a SM420 out of an early 50's pickup. It has a 7:1 first gear.

I am installing a Novak mainshaft with 23 spline output. I probably should have bought a 3 speed Stak but it was another $500 more that I didn't want to spend. I should have a pretty good selection of gears. I also am not counting out running an AX 15, I have one in my daily driver and they shift nice.

Pulled this out of my black parts Jeep Wrangler (soon to be Zullo's)
It is a little bigger booster than what I am running now so I should actually feel like I have power assist brakes. It will bolt up to the CJ7 pedals in my Willys with the bracket shown.

And a little bling... I like shiney stuff

I have been doing a ton of reading on Pirate to get some Ideas for the "Rebuild," I'm getting really excited to get to do some hacking on this thing

I think I am going to order this monday... Should make setting up the linked front easier.

I also have to figure out what I want to run for link ends up front... I am kinda wondering what other people run? I have Ballistic Forged 2.63's in the rear now and they are holding up well. I am just worried about Ballistic's backlog... last time I ordered it was 2 months and I have heard that hasn't changed and maybe the wait is even longer. I might try another brand, although I like to support American made, which is Ballistic all the way.

I know this thread is turning into a lot of pictures of parts... I have been physically and mentally drained from work and my limited time off is used to taking care of business around the house.

However this week I was able to get out in the garage for a few nights, and I have all of next week off. I am putting together another transfer case like the one that was in it, just so I can move it around. I started tearing into my new 4 speed (SM420) to install the Novak mainshaft to bolt up the Stak (which hasn't shown up yet).

Once I get it moving again (and my garage cleaned out) I am going to get it inside and start working on it... I have a lot planned so stay tuned...

Well its not as rare as you think! I spent way to much time reworking the stock frame for this jeep when I probably should have still built a new one...but for a stocker, the stock frame is fine. I have a stock frame in my stocker (build thread on the old forum).

I also have a 1947 parts jeep... the frame is not bad, probably usable if you ever want to check it out...

Anyway, I ordered my STak transfer case today... 2 Speed mini Monster, 23 spline input, driver front output, 5.22:1 gears.

167:1 crawl in 1st gear low

Ah, while I am here, I guess I can update a little (no pics)

It's sitting in my driveway with a dead battery, 3 flat tires, no transfer case, and other misc stuff removed...

I have been super busy, had 3 days off in October, and switched from days to nights to days.

I bought air shocks for the rear, Fox 2.0 x 16's, and I am going to probably buy another pair for the front, and set up 3 link front this winter. I want to get the jeep a little lower and loose some frame and body. I might try Trail Gear joints this time.

I also bought a Novak Dana 300 - SM420 adapter to build my SM420. I am going to run a STak 2 speed Mini monster behind that... gonna order it this week.

    and some.... reasons to upgrade

I broke my 5th Milemarker hub right after getting through shoot the moon. I am going to package all of the broken parts up and send them back to Milemarker...meanwhile my stock $20 Ford OEM hubs have been holding up great.

I was running the comp area and broke my rear Wild Horses (made by Advance Adapters) 32 spline 1310 yoke in half... nice. They sent me a new one no questions asked . Heres one half... the other half is in my buddies Jeep. He was leaving the next morning so I swapped with him.

Which was great because then I was able to break my transfer case!

I am hoping to get my drivetrain all back together and sell it. I have a SM420 I want to run with a STak mini-monster.
