the truss was nice, but it is really meant for putting the link mounts onto.
going to "box" the shock in using some diesel exhaust tube

Looks Awesome Dude. I have never seen and XJ with the rear carpet removed that looked so clean and rust free under. The gear oil that spilled back there must have protected the floor from rust. LOL.
With your new rear shock setup it does not look like a boot will work to keep it water right. What are your plans to seal out the elements being so close to the wheel well? Or will the boot idea still work?
Looks like a spare tire mount in the rear cargo area is next on the list.Last edited by Kyle; 05-25-2010, 02:39 PM.Lady bugs don't like it when you paint stripes on them

THIS STATEMENT IS FALSE!Originally posted by HeavyMetal View Posti really have had no trouble with the d30 diff cover in about 5-6 years of wheeling, its the same one since the start..
I seem to remember a cold night tightening up carrier bolts on your D 30 front end and after removed int very rough D30 diff cover and its bolts we installed a newer D30 diff cover off that newer d 30 you has sitting around for parts. So it is not the original diff cover.
