The process has begun...fedex tells me my airbumps will be here tomorrow..so i started today
phase 1 initiated
Cut and hammered the normal bump/coil towers off.
then prepped the surface up
proof Rusty's is actually good for something.
I made the plates that the airbump tube welds to out of an old rustys skid...one mounts inside the engine bay, the other in the wheel well, sandwiching the jeep's unibody material...both plates on either side get a hole saw through it, and the tube gets welded to the plates around the outside of it.
Took the UHMW rod down to phil's to get turned down on the lathe a bit more to fit the coil better..and to drill and tap a hole inside of it so i can screw it into the coil bucket.
Bumps should be here tomorrow...then more progress- Will
