5.13s on 35s seemed to be pretty dope offroad, but if you do a shitload of highway driving like me, well, I wish my RPM's were a tad lower on the highway. I get 15MPG highway which is acceptable but less than desirable. At 65, im running about 2700 or so. 5.13s and 35s. Would like it to be closer to 2300 but meh.Last edited by Mike; 02-03-2010, 01:37 PM.

Just playing the devils advocate, but lower axle gears also puts more stress on the gears themselves.Originally posted by Ktmracer419 View Postwith lower case gears and higher axle gears it will be nice offroad, but also puts a ton of added stress on driveshafts/u joints.
I know you are going to say you're D60 gears are holding up just fine, but I know Vetteboy has never blown a 1310 joint in over 2 years of wheeling on 4.56's, or something to that nature. Not that Vetteboy is the end all rig to base your own on, but I'm sure he's not the only person to do it.
Again, I don't really have any first hand experience on the matter, I just wanted to give Cody something to think about.

in a 44, possibly
and the only u joints i have blown were from a cracked yoke i welded up really quick and expected to fail. and it took lots of hoppin and wheelies to let go. and landing on a rock when i had to cover 50 feet of boulders going downhill in 10 seconds at rcrocs.
