Jeepspeed v. 2.0 has begun. FINALLY got around to doing my lower shock mounts so my Foxs dont keep gettin killed.
A tech thread if you will.
First started by Cutting off the old mounting perch.
I used Ruff Stuff Shock mounts that I had from my 8.8 swap kit and welded them up in place where I wanted them.
This is the passenger side but I did the same thing on the driver side. I used some 1/8 plate I had laying around and gave it some gussetting. This ties into not only the shock mount itself, but also the LCA mount so it strengthens the whole thing.
I used some shock bushing sleeves I had laying around to act as spacers in between the heims and the shock mount. Got some grade 8 hardware and tightened it all up. All painted and ready to go
and bam, done. The pics suck but you get the point.
97 TJ that I think is pretty neat.

At full flex, with the angle the mounts are at, are you worried about the shock getting bound up on the edge? If you can see what I'm trying to get across?

oh and i FINALLY got somewhere with Rough Country and the UCA joints. They didnt send me new joints but they did send me rebuild kits. So I will be doing those on friday. I also noticed that my axle is tilted way to far forward so thats why my coils look sad. So when i put the joints back in, I will adjust that
