Its 2020.... and Ive finally figured out how to post pictures without photobucket...... I am useless

Anyway, its time to finally make a build thread for the jeep Ive had the last 7 years.

I got this thing for free way back when... completely rotted, and factory base. Doors I got about a month after because the wife hates doorless......




So first things first it needed floor pans


and decided while I was at it, might as well do the drivers side as well

Shortly after that the freeze plug at the back of the head rotted through. So I had to pull it apart and decided to give it a full top end refresh


Along with a new set of Borla headers because I didnt feel like welding the factory manifold back together...AGAIN

After that it was time for a quick baby spacer set up, I got hawks old bumper from the croc and had it redone



Swapped in some comfy 5.9 seats and got 2x6 box steel rockers finished

Then it was time for some sick nasty 32s!!!!

Then it was time to get the stiffeners done, which I had DMR do for me way back when before he got his new shop in East Hampton.


After all that was done I bought RJs last XJ and set to tearing it apart

Once everything was swapped in and set up. I went through the front end and refreshed the entire thing

Gave it a driveway alignment

Finally swapped in the 231 with an SYE I got from the twins

and it was set.

TNT front bumper with 9.5k Smittybilt winch
JCR rear bumper
Rock Crawler 3 link long arm
3.5" spring lift
Front 44. TNT truss 5.13s and aussie auto locker
Rear 8.8 5.13s and a spool
2x6 rockers
stiffeners
5150s up front with JKS eyelit adapters

But i had to do one more thing.. I needed to figure out something with the rear shocks..got tired of the bar pin.. So first, I did this

and pretty much hated it immediately... So eventually I found the time, and sent the jeep off with Joshua Greenleaf and had him throw this together

Cant forget Fred

He got a hold of my jeep, some painters tape, an exacto knife, and some rattle cans






Then I picked up a second set of doors, and we went about making a set of half doors




Got some mirrors from The Flop Shop

And went about sealing them up

Used TJ tail gate latches to open from the inside

Things were good for awhile... It was a DD for a solid 2 years. Even went wheeling in PA. First on private property.. and then Rausch for my bach party
