Build name TBD I suppose.
Picked up this 89 Comanche auto 4x4 4.0L shortbed...no rot
Caleb Dizzy and Phil helped me get it home via trailer from Albany, thank you Caleb for the ride.
Came with this awesome sticker as a bonus
Plans were set into motion. 97+ exterior change over, that means doors, front fenders, and front clip. Amassed the parts and got to work.
On the doors I bought, there were ants making a home inside the molding...it was handled.
For the 97+ doors, you need to use the newer style striker and relocate it to close them. Dizz welded it on
We swapped in Clayton Off Road short arms in the meantime.
This is how it sits now.
Mango Tango Jeep JK paint is on order and will be sprayed next Sunday. Until then, it is prep time.
Paint color:
New bumpers from OMC Offroad in Cali are being designed for this project, and should be ready in the next couple weeks.
It has a 50" LED bar on the way from Black Knight Lighting, as well as brackets for them to mount off the a-pillars from OMC.
JK 17" Moab wheels are sitting in my basement waiting for the Nitto Trail Grapplers to get here (roughly 32x10.5 metric equivalents).
ARB should be contributing some parts as well, likely in the form of Intensity lights and a few other expedition style goodies TBD.
Clayton HD trackbar system will go on this week.
Trucklite sent some LED replacement headlights for the build as well.
Thanks to all the guys that have helped with the build thus far, and Dizzy for the shop space.
