Cool build. I like the boatsides. I'd do something like that on mine if I weren't so lazy.

Did I miss you talk about gears? 3.55s? God I hope not with 35s haha

The more time goes by, I'm starting to understand more the need to have two XJs built to different degrees...

Thanks man! Nah I'm running 4.10s right now, my plan is to regear to 4.56s when I do lockers. I know it's not a huge jump but honestly I'm already impressed with the power it has with the 4.10s and 35s, plus I worry with the small pinion of the 4.88s.

I know what you mean, which is why I'm building this to be my dd and weekend thrasher.

So I've been busy stocking up on the parts pile lately, for the summer of 2015 it's going to be look like a completely different rig. Got a header and a hi flow cat and will be building a new exhaust soon, got a synthetic winch line and a hawse fair lead on the way and as soon as I get some material I'll be building a new front bumper. Also went with some jeep speed front fenders more for the clearance and extra tire coverage. Also ordered 16x9 bird dog wheels so can't wait to see how they Will set everything off, and an Eaton elocker is also on it's way.

Old style header panel? Also Maybe you can answer this or plan on doing it. Why does everyone leave the fiberglass fenders hanging out past the level of the header panel? Why not chop em off even?

I like where this is going.

Is here a reason for the old header panel? Personal preference, or someone to do with the fenders?

This was just a mockup, the fenders will not be hanging down past the header panel. Yeah I went with it mainly for the fenders but I wanted to do something different. Everyone seems to upgrade so I'm down grading...

Finally got the other rocker done and the other front end swapped on.

And today my wheels finally came in!!! Pretty stoked about these. Also got the e locker, now I just need to get the front frame plated and build the new bumper for the winch to mount to.

Also removed the rear 1.25" wheel spacers. Hopefully they will clear ok when flexed out.
