  • Thanks!

Yes I like them. Although I already want to replace them with pro series parts and an improved design, I learned a LOT building them.

Still pleased with how they came out though.

Found a thingy to bolt the other thing to the tranny

Quick measuring and it looks like i won't have to cut the floor to fit the 205 under there since its damn near the size of a 231. So I have that going for me at least.

                • Aren't you going for a flat belly for all those black and red trails you'll be hitting? With a 205 your going to need to hack the floor to make it fit. If you want any kind of belly clearance.

Nope. Still doesn't change the fact that a 205 will require you modifying your floor if you want any kind of flatbelly.

                      • No you fuckin dumb ass, it's almost the same size as the stock 231 when I shave that nub off the 205. So it looks like I won't have to cut the floor, I can't say for sure till I get the LS and 4l80 in to see where the end of the tranny is.

Temper temper..... And I will have to modify my floor when I go flatbelly with a 231.....

                            • Dang. I had to hack my floor to fit my D20. And that was with having it further back than the stock location because of the doubler. But, I also have it clocked pretty flat. I hate to doubt you because I have never seen a 205 on the floor next to a 231, but the 205 looks monstrous under the things I've seen them under.

Just tried Googling, found the thread you started on Pirate. Ashman posted a nice pic of that nub cut off. Interesting. That makes it basically flat on top like my D20.

When are you putting this in? You're making me question the $400 I was going to spend on a 32 spline output for my D20...

Would you mind posting some quick measurements for me?
