Just picked this guy up.
It's a 2000 Limited XJ, full black leather interior with the wood accents and all that stuff, power everything, yadda yadda. Gay D35 in back I hope to change out to a 8.25 and keep things simple, maybe put discs on that.
Anyway, goal for this build is very clean, and still functional. I would like to use this for low impact wheeling so I am not just wasting my green XJ on smaller stuff or when I need it for work (transport space, work at Rausch that doesnt need a hugely built vehicle, and where I need something more mobile than my Subaru.)
Enough of that boring stuff.
Plans in the works/already rolling are:
17" JK Mountain Edition rims, charcoal flavor...picked these up in LI over the weekend:
255/75/17 Nitto Trail Grapplers
Fox 2.0s, probably res shocks
a 3" lift of some sort, still shopping around but would like BDS.
Bumpers, still shopping around.
and the whole reason it is called AmberMetal...either Dodge Toxic Orange paint job or Jeep's "Amber Fire"...havent decided yet which...either way this baby is gettin a splash of color.
Maybe clear turn signals smoked over to match the new tails I just installed.
LED bar light, size to be determined.
and of course...probably a safari rack, skids, sliders, all that boring stuff.
