  • Project Someday MJ

So I picked up an 88 MJ from Justin's father a few weeks back. It's a pretty damn solid truck that I plan on slowly building up when I have the spare cash.

    4.0
    AX-15
    np231
    d30/d35
    114k
    31's

The plan is to harvest all the useable stuff off my XJ and either sell it or give it a second/third life on this new one. I'm shooting for 5.5 inches of lift, clayton 3 link and SOA rear with the 8.25. Probably box the rockers then eventually swap a 97+ nose on it and do a nice paintjob.

But for the near future I'll probably just throw in my sagged 3 inch coils to level it and keep the tires from rubbing.

I haven't really had much spare money or time since I bought this, but I've been doing some small stuff here and there. Swapped out the dummy gauge cluster for a real one and put in a center console. I registered it today and cruised around a bit. I'm thinking I might put some 3 inch coils in this weekend but we'll see what actually happens.

got a pretty sweet deal on some barely used IPF H4 headlights. What a freakin difference. What was that wiring upgrade that people were doing for a while? And those who did it, did you feel it was worth it?

put some 4 in TJ coils up front with some OME shocks today, but the steering is clapped out and I have deathwobble like crazy.

                        ok cool thanks.
here's some pics. It kinda has the Cali lean to it at this point, but it's only temporary and I'm not rubbing anymore up front.

Fixed the deathwobble and got some drilled and slutty rotors for free last weekend. Next project is the rear main seal

Fixed the major oil leaks yesterday. Rear main, oil pan and valve cover. This will be the first jeep I've owned that doesn't leave puddles.
