Quote Phill: Do you drink lots of coffee? I drink it once in a while and I get varying effects. Some days it doesn't bother me but others my heart races like a greyhound from the Vet after the owners realize that it cant race anymore and needs to die. Fuck that, find me some owner with big tits and I'll be cute and slow the rest of my life.

          so it started like this

frame was rotted had a 2.5 in it
          so it got gutted

          started on a cage

then we aqquired a f150 hence the ford parts

          got some super swampers

then radar got cold so he took my hoody

          motors in

          made some mods to it

          profender 2.0 14inch coil overs

sat on its own this is close to ride height remember its a racer for line mountain clearance isnt a big issue

started learning how to build cages

real b pillar? pretty sure thats not a fake b pillar.
letz not start the unconstructive criticism. the way it is it creates a strong node at that point. if you put a 90 degree bend there it would be weaker than the 45ish.

look at a bajillion KOH buggys. infact all jimmys 4x4 chasis....

back on topic. im diggin it. should be a fun whip

cage is tall but that is cause you need visibility over the hood. i'm 6 1 so is tim.the actual rule is three inches above the helmet. sitting in the seats there is like 4 inches above us. its actually the same height as the black bird, just not boat sided.

                            and theres the debate.......

purely design. It's not stronger (unless you heat treat the chassis to get enough strength back into that welded area). from a direct impact yes, it is but thats only if you land dead nuts on your roof. A radius bend there can better absorb the energy of a lateral impact to that pillar. A very hard flop puts an extreme amount of load onto that weld.

Hence why both NASCAR and NHRA tech require that "main hoop" require using a single piece of tube.

Not saying it doesn't work, rock crawling trucks don't nessarily hit concrete at 200 mph.

Either way it doesn't really matter, it's not like you're gonna die, i'm a douche and just wanted to bust dizzy's balls.

                            continue............

U miss read what I said.... I said its a strong node. Im not arguing if its the strongest.

Not a debate.... we r not doing 200 into a concrete barrier. There is absolutely nothing wrong the way it is constructed..... not to mention on a stock car its alot easier to fit a main hoop through the door than it is to fit a piece that's 15 feet long through the windshield..... let's not compare apples and oranges. Its strong. It works. It looks a he'll of a lot better

So my point.... step back from urself and remember what we r talking about

my dick ain't as big as Ron Jeremy's, but its more than i "need" and gets the job done quite well
That cage is not to nascar spec, but its more than they "need" and will get the shit beat outa it without an issue.
