  • Project Toy Hauler

I picked this WJ up in the beginning of January. 2000, 191k, less than 1k on a rebuilt motor. Its got its fair share of problems still that I need to work on; it needs some suspension work, brakes, a new ground wire, windshield wiper arms, floormats, as well as new tires. I had to replace the cheap crank and camshaft position sensors as soon as I brought it home. Its mainly going to be used for the winter months, but also on top of that to haul around my jet skit I just picked up - its a 98 sea doo gsx limited. More on that build in another thread!

    Loading it up:

    Dropped off:

After replaced the sensors, the first thing I did was paint the faded bumpers black. Huge improvement IMO. Next on the list was the crappy faded, fogged, and all around sub-par headlights. I purchased an OEM set of headlights in perfect condition and did a custom bi-xenon HID retrofit...the light output is phenomenal!

Next on the list is to fix the stock foglights to add some foreground lighting where the HIDs lack. I also need to install a trailer hitch and wiring. I'll prob just go with an aftermarket kit for ease of install.

I'll eventually be adding a budget boost and some meatier tires along with some OEM silverblade wheels. More to come as the build progresses!
