Thanks guys! I figured I'd post everything up here for anyone that doesn't have me in the book Of faces. And ill try I keep a more up to date thread here now considering it hasn't been updated in 2 years haha. There is a shit ton of details that I didn't mention or post, so if there's anything you would like to know just ask.
I'm planning to finish up the little things on the front end this weekend and start to tear into the rear end.
The rear section of the frame is completely toast at this point I'm pretty sure the shocks and front leaf mounts are the only thing holding the axle in. Made some progress on the rear end. 4.5" springs are in and it sits pretty damn high the way it is. I'm going to relocate my shackles forward and keep them mounted high. Hopefully it will settle down a bit.
I picked up a sye from Reid.
I stripped the d44, set the pinion angle and burned in the perches.
Started on the rear truss and hopefully ill get it finished tomorrow

So, I have some serious updating to do with this thread.
I finally finished up the jeep for the most part and started driving it a few weeks ago... It took me WAYYYYYY longer than expected but that's the way life go sometimes.
All I can say is..... All the hours, days, months....cutting, grinding, welding, screaming.... was completely worth it.
So, time to back up and go through what went into this build.
The whole purpose of this build was to keep everything as streetable as possible while still being able to have fun in the woods. So I wanted to beef up the 30 as much as I could.
picked up a set of Chromoly 30 spline shafts for the front with a grizzly locker

With this jeep I wanted to feel what real shocks were like, so I ordered up a set up Fox 2.0 remote resi's
Made some shock stem eliminators for the front
Needed a new set of brakelines...
Had to clearance the front cover for the steering
One of my favorite things I did on this jeep was the t case skid.
I wanted it to be simple, but I wanted easy access to the front driveshaft so I wasn't cussing up a storm everytime I had to remove it. So I made the panel removable. The plate sits flush on the tube, so when in use all the impacts are transferred to the tube rather than the tabs that hold it up.
Final installation of the front end
I put the rear shocks through the floor in the rear of the jeep. It sounded simple at first, but took a good amount of effort to get everything right without huge holes. Thankfully measuring twice and cutting once worked first try and the tube is a snug fit through the floor.
All this work and I was able to hit the mall parking lot just in time for Christmas eve.
So, After building this one I am EXTREMELY happy with the way it all turned out. Everything is as close to perfect as I could have gotten and I love how it all matches and actually looks good. (the old red jeep was one ugly SOB)
In the passed 2 weeks ive put 1300 miles on it without any issues, knock on wood. It runs like a top on the road. No clanks, bangs, pops.... steering is tight as can be. It stops like no other jeep ive driven. The gears are amazing. locker works amazing...... I could go on and on.
I have A few things to finish up, and im sure ill find more things to build in the near future. If anyone has any questions or comments, let me know. I know I missed a lot of details and little things.
For now it is just great to get back in the woods and enjoy driving a jeep
