  • Ford SuperDuty Axle Dana 50

Anyone have a Ford Super duty front axle assy.
    Dana 50.

Not very desirable figure I would ask if anyone has one.

my uncle has one in his 95 f250, he wants to put a 60 str8 axle in it so if and when he does this I'll ask him if he wants to sell it.

The Super duty Dana 50 uses the same unit bearing as the super duty F450 dana 60 that spidertrx uses

I want to build a hybrid D44 with 1 ton unit bearing outers.
Dana 50 suck because there is only like 2 lockers for them and they are only 30 splines. So I figure I can find one relatively cheap.

Then I figure I can run the 30 splines with the d44 for now and later upgrade to 35 splines when I get in an ARB D44 locker they offer 30, 33, and 35 splines.

Just an Idea I had for my buggy axle instead of using the small D44 U-joints.
But it is a lot more work.

The problem with putting it in a ranger those have a metric 8 lug bolt pattern so you need to have a 99 and up rear axle to match.
Then it is only a 30 spline front axle not saying it wouldn't work but D50 don't have much aftermarket support.

Obviously cheaper the better depending how nice less rust etc. the more it is worth.

                I figure around $300-$400

I just shot him a text for ya The axle is in pretty good shape out of a leaf sprung 2000 f-250 superduty 4:10 gears in it I believe... We bought a 2000 250 roller thinking it was a 60 not a 50.. so hes got the matching for 10 1/2 rear for it too his plan was to run the pair under the ranger not sure what hes doing now whether he wants to run it or get a 60 so I'll let you know
