  • wtb: tires/wheels

i'm currently rolling on 33x12.5x15 on my tj and i'm looking for something smaller and narrower to put on it to help with mileage since my damn school is sending me to waterbury twice a week and i'm in bpt. not looking to break the bank. thanks for looking.

i've got a set of 31s that are kind of no namers. maybe mastercrafts but $100 and they're yours, i could get you a spare as well if you wanted it. no wheels but they are cheap and that sounds like what you're looking for.

is the cost in tires / rims going to offset the savings you will get in MPG?

lets say its a 60 mile round trip, twice a week is 120 miles.

if you get 16mpg current and the tires net you a 2 mpg increase to 18 mpg
over the 120 miles (one week) you would save .9 gallons of gas... at $2.70 thats a
      $2.475 savings a week

how many weeks would you have to make this commute to make it worth your wile for shity tires?

you'd be better off buying a Daily driver, most costly initially then a set of tires, but cheaper in the long run. my 93 civic gets like 35mpg my TJ gets like 10-14... plus always needing things replaced it seems
