  • d60 spindle boring tool

Looking for someplace/someone I can rent or pay to bore my d60 spindles to fit 35spl. shafts. Not so big on the idea of using hole saws but it might come down to that.

Also possibly looking to buy one if the price is right.

    What needs to be done?
I thought 35 spline fit though stock spindles.

    What axle do you have.

I might be able to turn and bore out the spindles on the lathe.

      D60 from a 79 ford

Almost all FF stock spindles for the 78-79 ford D60's only accept 30spl. shafts, but everybody bores them out to 1 1/2" or 1 5/8 ID. It's either that, or hack them off and weld D70 spindles on.

If thats a possibility lemme know how much you would charge me

i hear the hole saw method is very easy and pretty fool proof.

just get a couple of them and go in steps just shaving a bit off at a time

So you are talking about a rear full floater axle?

The spindles don't just come off on the rears.

I thought you were talking about a front axle where the spindle just bolts on with 5 or 6 bolts.

I cannot fit the whole axle in my lathe sorry.
