Weld a plate to the bottom make the pan a skid plate.
While your at it add a drain.
My only plan is us it as a mockup trans and use the bell housing to weld to an Ecotec bell to run in the buggy at some point.
You can have the pan if you swap them for me so it doesn't leak all over my basement.RCrocs #123 Brown CJ-5

It wouldn't be a full skid to slide across but definitely take some beating.
You cannot take too much before you crack your housing.
Why do you think oil pans have that extra plate tacked to the bottom.
The sides would would be relatively strong, they are short with some geometry. You can add vertical stiffeners if you really wish. I would do something like a 3/16 plate with a couple 1" vertical strips between the nuts. Wouldn't take long at all.
Since it is already a pan it is sealed just tack a plate on and call it done.
If you need a hand I can tig a nut to the pan so you can have a drain plug.
This is what I did on my last jeep.RCrocs #123 Brown CJ-5
