96-2000 are the same car minus OBD IIa or IIb difference and the front bumper slots on the side. They also did make a 4 door EX which is D16y8 and is a VTEC motor and it makes like almost 30hp more than the DX/LX D16y7.

thanks for the info, i guess i should put 2001+ then my gf likes that body style more then the 2000- below style.

we currently have alex's 93 civic which is a great car, wanting something a little newer just for reliability on long trips + ill be Daily driving the 93 for better fuel efficiency.
